Beaches of Benalmádena: A Destination for Every Taste

Benalmádena boasts 17 beaches and coves stretching across nearly 20 km of coastline. You’ll find everything from lively urban beaches with full facilities to peaceful natural coves. A scenic promenade links many of them, lined with beach bars, restaurants, and entertainment options.

1. Malapesquera / Torrebermeja

  • Type: Dark sand, 700 m long
  • Facilities: Showers, footbaths, sunbed and umbrella rental, accessibility features, water sports, lifeguard service (Red Cross), and Blue Flag status.

2. Santa Ana

  • Type: Fine sand, 500 m
  • Facilities: Showers, restrooms, footbaths, children’s play area, sunbed/umbrella rentals, accessibility, promenade with restaurants. Lifeguards and Blue Flag.

3. Bil-Bil Beach

  • Type: Fine sand, 400 m, next to Bil-Bil Castle
  • Facilities: Showers, ramps for disabled access, sunbeds, promenade, nearby bars, and Red Cross service.

4. Arroyo de la Miel Beach

  • Type: Dark sand, 600–900 m
  • Facilities: Showers, sunbeds, water sports rentals, restaurants, easy access, and lifeguards.

5. Carvajal Beach

  • Type: Fine sand, approx. 700 m
  • Facilities: Blue Flag, showers, sunbeds, water sports, beach bars, very accessible, including by train.

6. Fuente de la Salud

  • Type: Small beach near the marina
  • Facilities: Showers, footbaths, accessibility, sunbeds, restaurants, and water activities.

7. Torrevigía

  • Type: Approx. 300–350 m
  • Facilities: Showers, sunbeds, lifeguards, accessible, water sports, and food options nearby.

8. Torrequebrada Beach

  • Type: Approx. 350 m, coarse sand
  • Facilities: Showers, sunbeds, near hotels, accessible, no Blue Flag or Red Cross.

9. Torremuelle Beach

  • Type: Mixed sand and rock, ~700 m
  • Facilities: Showers, water sports, no lifeguards or Blue Flag.

10. Tajo de la Soga

  • Type: Small, wild beach among cliffs
  • Facilities: Showers and basic access, no further services.

11. La Morera (La Perla)

  • Type: Small, quiet cove
  • Facilities: Showers, accessible, limited services.

12. Las Yucas

  • Type: Natural beach with gravel and sand
  • Facilities: Showers, wheelchair access, sunbeds, umbrellas, parking, great for diving.

13. Las Viborillas

  • Type: Secluded cove (~500 m)
  • Facilities: Showers, sunbeds, umbrellas, excellent for diving, not wheelchair-accessible.

14. Benalnatura

  • Type: Official nudist beach, natural surroundings
  • Facilities: Beach bar, showers, stair access only, peaceful and secluded.

15. Melilleros Beach

  • Type: Dark sand, split by a sea inlet
  • Facilities: Public showers, lifeguards, Red Cross, promenade, family and youth-friendly.

16. Arroyo Hondo Beach

  • Type: Dark sand, 700 m
  • Facilities: Showers, some lifeguard presence, scenic views, limited restrooms.

17. Benalcan (Dog-Friendly Beach)

  • Type: ~70 m, adjacent to Arroyo Hondo
  • Facilities: Pet showers, drinking fountains for dogs, waste bins, and cleaning services.
